The end of September saw a fiery full Super moon in Aries on 29th Sept where there are big corresponding energetic frequencies to match the seismic energies available during this time.

October is once again a huge month energetically and features two eclipses, which can bring up emotional intensity. Eclipse energy can be very sudden and symbolise revelations and new beginnings.

Mars opposed the dwarf planet Eris on 4th Oct Eres-making a conjunction with the North Node which further compressed the effect of Pluto squaring the nodes. On 7th Oct we saw the Moon squaring Eris and opposing Pluto – which was reflected in events overseas. Themes around individual vs state power and clashes are currently playing out on a world scale as Mars squares Pluto-allow you on a personal level to reflect on how you ‘do’ power in your life. How do you act out when you feel threatened, can you remain steady and strong within?

Mars energy in its higher aspect represents inspired action and ambition with a sense of passion rather than the lower aspects of fighting, conflict, aggression, and the creation of division. This energy can see a clash between individual power and the symbology of power of institutions, governments, and the state.

Earlier this month, you may have felt the significant impact of Pluto going stationary direct again and squaring the nodal axis (11th Oct). This highlights a major choice point in the road -you can choose to connect with love or fear, being in an empowered state or feeling powerless-you can’t be in both states at the same time.

Mars has gone into Scorpio (12th Oct) and with it we see that the warrior has truly arrived. As it forms a trine to Saturn (in Pisces) in its higher state it can be compassionate, forgiving, mature and understanding.

This New Moon in Libra (15th Oct) brings a partial solar eclipse with a square to Pluto. This can echo and reveal themes around power and sovereignty especially with Uranus making a challenging aspect to the solar eclipse which can signify revolutionary acts and rebellion.

Solar Eclipse opposes Chiron (opposing Mercury) can indicate that even when you feel wounded or unwell there remains an opportunity for a new awareness. The Saturn Opposes Venus in Virgo during the New moon–brings a focus on relationships (and finances) so they can be real and honest discussions. This can also allow you to put a plan in place for your finances to make them more manageable-not romance and flowers but pragmatism and a plan!

Mars is currently travelling through Scorpio (until 24th Nov)-During this time you can engage with the energy by reflecting upon the below questions:

  • Do you give your power away or do you have a strong sense of self without becoming threatened and involve others in your power story?
  • How do you fulfill and protect and provide for yourself?
  • Do you know where your personal boundaries are?

Recognise what you’re creating in each moment is creating your own reality which IS your personal power!

Pluto remains square to the nodal axis- which can see you moving away from people who may have been close at some stage but are now on a different wavelength to you or attempt to disempower (consciously or otherwise). You may recognise the people that drain your energetic reserves or make you feel exhausted, as you find yourself examining these relationships you can release old patterns relating to your own sense of power.

Pluto is the planet of death, rebirth, and transformation so the energy accompanying this regeneration can feel raw and intense at times. This energy is supporting of making changes with who you choose to surround yourself with-are they empowering me to step up or not?

Saturn will be going direct on 4th Nov– which can bring the energy of a clearer sense of focus, authority and sense of responsibility in its higher expression.

The Full moon in Taurus (29th October) brings a Lunar eclipse. The Sun conjunct Mars during the full moon makes it powerful, with the moon is conjunct Jupiter (the planet of expansion). Take care not to overindulge/overspend/overextend yourself and your resources during this time. This aspect reminds you to take simple steps to self-care in whatever way is manageable for you.

Key questions you can reflect on during this month:

  • How do you keep your focus on your higher vision?
  • Do you find yourself falling back into a state of victim consciousness and fear-based concerns especially around things you have no control over?
  • How can you reclaim and remain in a sense of sovereignty in a healthy way that does not disempower others?

Jupiter remains in Taurus (until next year) which keeps your focus on building and managing your personal resources. Take time out this month to prioritise replenishing your energy in whatever you do that supports and nourishes you best-nature walks, massage, aromatherapy baths, sage clearing, aura soma or another self-care ritual.

It is important at this time to recognise exactly where you’re placing your energy as it can become easy to get sucked into the lure of fear and dragged down by what makes the mainstream news right now. This is the time to stay on track with your vision & manage your energy. Ideally, make a ritual around a regular practice of clearing away dense or lower vibrational energy from your energetic field-especially if you feel overtired or drained at the end of the day.

While you don’t always have control over world events, you do have the opportunity to take responsibility for how you take on collective energy available and how this can mirror themes in your daily life. How you engage with the energy this month will ripple around to everyone- in each and every relationship, your entire community and how you engage with all you come into contact with.

This month brings the spotlight once again on personal power & allows you to reflect on what are you focused on-are you a victim or are you a creator in your own story?

Irrespective of what is happening in the world, if you can recognise and dissolve outworn old power structures, you can choose where you place your energy and you can learn from your experiences. This will allow a breaking free of the feeling of restriction so you can remain steady, open to others while experiencing a strong sense of self. This month is an opportunity to connect with love to others regardless of their opinions and views so you can reach a higher level of awareness personally and collectively.
